Privacy Policy — Easy Auto Refresh

            
            Short version: we don't collect anything.
            Easy Auto Refresh runs entirely inside your browser. It does not
              use a server, does not use analytics, does not track you, and does
              not transmit any of your data anywhere. All settings live locally
              in your browser via
              chrome.storage.local.

01Data we collect

None. Easy Auto Refresh does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. We have no servers, no databases, no analytics provider, and no third-party trackers embedded in the extension.

02Data stored locally on your device

To make the extension useful, a small amount of configuration data is stored on your device only using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. None of this data ever leaves your browser.

Timer settings per site — the refresh interval, mode (fixed or random), and next scheduled reload for each website you enable.
Per-site preferences — whether the countdown overlay or "pause when typing" is enabled for a specific site.
Refresh counters — the number of times the extension has refreshed a given site since you started the timer, and when that timer began.
UI state — the last values you typed in the popup (e.g. interval inputs) so the popup feels consistent between opens.

You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the extension, or by using Chrome's Clear site data options for extension storage.

03Permissions and why we need them

The extension requests only the permissions strictly required for the features you use. Here is exactly what each one is for.

alarms

Schedules the next tab refresh at the interval you configured. This is what lets timers survive across browser restarts.

storage

Saves your timer settings and preferences locally on your device so they persist between sessions.

tabs

Reads the URL of the active tab (to identify which site you're setting a timer on) and triggers the reload when the timer fires.

scripting

Injects the optional on-page 3·2·1 countdown overlay and the "Skip this reload" button, and detects whether you are currently typing in a form.

host access

Only used to reload the tabs you explicitly configure and to show the countdown overlay on those pages. The extension does not read page content for any other purpose.

04Data we do not collect

To be explicit, Easy Auto Refresh does not collect any of the following:

Personally identifiable information (name, email, phone, address).
Authentication information (passwords, cookies, tokens, session IDs).
Financial or payment information.
Health, personal communications, or personal documents.
Location data.
Web history, browsing activity, or the contents of any page.
User activity analytics (clicks, keystrokes, scroll behaviour).

05Third-party services

The extension does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or remote code. It loads no external scripts and makes no network requests on its own.

The accompanying marketing website may link out to Buy Me a Coffee (a donation platform) if you choose to support the developer. Clicking that link takes you to their site, which is governed by their own privacy policy.

06Cookies

Easy Auto Refresh does not set, read, or modify cookies.

07Children's privacy

Easy Auto Refresh is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because the extension collects no personal data from any user, it likewise collects no data from children.

08Changes to this policy

If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing description.

09Your rights

Because no data is collected or stored on any server, there is nothing for us to access, export, correct, or delete on your behalf. All your data lives on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the extension or clearing its local storage.
